This dissertation adopts an interpretive and analytical approach to clarify the intention of ʿAllāma Ṭabāṭabāʾī from the concept of consideration (iʿtibār) and the consequent implications to facilitate understanding his intent through his expressions. It also aims to compare his opinions with those of others. The significance and momentum of such a treatise are highlighted by considering the philosophical opinions of scholars like ʿAllāma Miṣbāḥ in constructing the foundations of Islamic human sciences and their development, particularly in the individually held or mind-dependent (iʿtibārī) sciences, to reconcile them with Islam and Shariʿa, stripping them of the color of disbelief and injustice. Therefore, we took the initiative to embark on this path, delving into the subject matter of the treatise following the introduction, by defining the selected definition of consideration and the concept of consideration according to the ʿAllāma, as well as delineating the distinguishing boundary between mind-dependent knowledge and true knowledge, and the point of departure between them. Subsequently, what the mental construction or consideration (iʿtibār) relies on is mentioned, followed by presenting a corresponding illustration of the concept of consideration, then elucidating the criterion for consideration according to the ʿAllāma Ṭabāṭabāʾī. Afterward, the intended meaning of the generative connection and its relation to mental entities are illustrated, followed by outlining what the ʿAllāma perceives as mental construct in the consideration that leads to the occurrence of plurality in considerations. Finally, the primitive principle is elucidated to make every matter a consideration. The distinctive feature of this treatise compared to others lies in the coordination of the ʿAllāma's intellectual system in elucidating his intention from considerations in a manner not preceded by any treatise and dissertation.
