The background of the theory of "orally received principles" goes back to the era of Seyyed Morteza. This theory has a special place in the jurisprudence system of the late Ayatollah Boroujerdi (ra). His point of view, in addition to being the main basis, is also one of his initiatives. He calls the issues that have been passed down from the Infallibles (peace be upon them) to the early Companions, as orally received principles, which have reached them on the word of mouth. So, the name of his theory is called ‘Uṣūl Mutalaqqāt Mushāfihī’, the Arabic title for the orally received principles. The main question of the current research is: What is a new reading of the theory of the principles of the orally received principles from the perspective of the Late Ayatollah Boroujerdi (ra) and how is it applied in the process of jurisprudential inference? The research method is descriptive - analytical – conducted with reliance on library sources. The finding of the research is that the theory of the Late Ayatollah Boroujerdi (ra) was formed based on looking at the two elements of the criteria of the authority of credible consensus and reputation. Ayatollah Boroujerdi (ra) believes in the validity of the consensus and the reputation existing among the early jurists. The consensus and reputation are indicative of a text that has not reached us.
