General subconscious (better known as Irtikāz), which is widely used in later works, means a certain mentality and attitude or a fixed way that has penetrated deep into the mind. The presence of the element of general subconscious in the works of some jurists shows that general subconscious is a proof for them. By examining the statements of this group of jurists, we find that concentration has a wide function in in the process of deducing and inferring Islamic laws. Playing a role in the interpretation of texts, identification and determination of the subject of the ruling, and serving as a proof of a Sharīʿa ruling are among the functions of general subconscious. Also, from the point of view of a group of jurists, paying attention to the general subconscious opens our eyes to a major part of the hidden evidences of Sharīʿa. It also opens a huge chapter of proofs that can be used in solving the current legal problems. Therefore, it is appropriate to discuss general subconscious independently of other issues. In this research, the dimensions and angles of general subconscious have been analyzed and investigated in terms of definition, division, function and validity.
