The present research titled 'Genealogy of criticisms of Imam Khomeini by Muḥaqiq Nāʾīnī' was written in order to investigate and compare the inference method used by these two great scholars. The research has been conducted with reliance on library resources and descriptive analytical method. In this research, Imam Khomeini's criticisms are divided into three categories: 1- Criticisms arising from the origin of sensible people's consideration of mentally posited things 2- Criticisms arising from inaccuracy in the use of philosophical terms 3- Common analytical criticisms. Examining the nature of criticisms leads to a better explanation and understanding of Muḥaqiq Nāʾīnī's thought and his school.
In this research, the type of the criticism was first examined independently, and it became clear that Imam Khomeini, having a special view in respect of intellectual consideration, had a source-like approach towards the normative conduct of the sensible people, and in this way, he directed many criticisms towards Muḥaqiq Nāʾīnī. Also, there are differences in some issues between Muḥaqiq Nāʾīnī and Imam Khomeini, which were examined within the scope of this article. Topics such as referring other evidences to the orientation and the normative conduct of the sensible people, explaining the nature of the approval by the Lawgiver and the nature of the subservience to the normative conduct of the sensible people have been explored in detail.
