The authentic narrative of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (AS) is unique among the narratives in terms of comprehensive processing of the conflict of news. No principle book has focused on this comprehensiveness and its jurisprudential and principled works. The first part of the narrative is an introduction to jurisprudential philosophy about the relationship between the Quran and the Sunnah. The second part of this introduction deals with the role of the Qur'an and the definitive tradition of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in distinguishing the news of the hujjah from the non-hujjah. In the third section, the two preceding sections deal with the conflict of the news according to the Qur'an and the Prophet's definitive tradition. The interpretation of the narration implies the difference between the Imamate (AS) and the Qur'an and the Sunnah as opposed to the non-hujjah with the hujjah preferred over the other hujjah that was either neglected or substantially neglected by the scholars. Here are some of the innovations in this paper. Another innovation is the narrative implication of the tradition of the Prophet's criterion, in terms of tradition and document, in the place of role-playing for differentiating between hujjah and non-hujjah news and preferring one news over another.
